Course Description:
Bring an artistic voice to enamels by painting with enamels. This course is designed to teach the student how use vitreous on-glaze enamels as “paint”. During the course, we will create test plates, practice how to shade, blend, sgrafitto, glaze and create fine lines with enamels. The students will work with both fine silver and copper painting their own designs or designs provided by the instructor. Suitable for beginners.
NOTE: For safety reasons, masks are required during the sifting portion of the course.

Draw the abstract design and start painting
Day 3:
Continue painting the abstract design on copper over white
Start the silver designs or another copper on white design
Day 4:
Finish the silver designs (and more complicated designs)
Plan the setting.
Show and tell.
