1012 - Exploring Enamel with Linda Darty July 16th to 20th (5 days)
We are thrilled to welcome Linda to our new studio in Southern California. This is the only class Linda will be teaching in the US in 2021!
Linda will be conducting this workshop as an exploration of what can be done with enamel. She will help students perfect cloisonné, shading of transparent lead based enamels, painting in enamel, champlevé, plique-a-jour, design and setting ideas. It is an interactive workshop so come prepared with ideas and areas of enamel that you as a student would like to learn and develop.

Linda Darty is a professor in the metals program at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. and the director of ECU's Italy Intensives study abroad program in Tuscany. She has an extensive national and international exhibition record, is the author of The Art of Enameling, published by Lark Books and frequently teaches workshops on enameling in this country and abroad. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for research from East Carolina University, the Board of Governors Award for teaching excellence and the Life Time Achievement Award from The Enamelist Society. Her work is in numerous public and private collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Art and Design in NYC.
